MOOSE Open mic/Spoken Word Monthly Meeting

Featuring Audrey Mason

June 13, 2012 @ 7pm

Rines Auditorium

5 Monument Square Portland, Maine

Audrey Mason will perform Finding Joy in the Full Catastrophe of Life.  Audrey is a strong voice, joyful voice who brings power and sweetness to traditional stories, along with humor and insight in contemporary tales of her own creation.  She dropped out of art school when she realized she had acquired useful skills but really had nothing to say.  Many years and life events later, she has plenty to say and has found just the right medium, storytelling, to say it.

Find out more about Audrey Mason at  http://moosetellers.ning.com/profile/AudreyMason or watch an example of her work athttp://youtu.be/BNMfGWwWu70

M.O.O.S.E., the Maine Organization Of Storytelling Enthusiasts, meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the PortlandPublic Library in the Rines Auditorium.

Come at 6:30 to meet a Moose and have some refreshments before the show. Meet your Host Bill Hinderer and sign up for your ten minutes of spoken word (Spoken word only; please no readings) at the mic.

The Rines auditorium is open after the Library is closed at 7pm, so please visit us down stairs even if the Security gate is blocking the Library. Our Open Microphone is free from 7-8 pm and will be followed by announcements and a brief intermission

Following intermission our Featured performer will begin.
