Hi everyone

NEW WORKSHOP:  Grandma are you with me!  Learn how to create fairy tales for your grandchildren.  My house or yours.

I call myself a Hupa, someone who creates fairy tales based on personal stories. When you are planning a special event for someone you care about I interview family and friends, create the fairy tale and perform it at the event accompanied by a hand written copy of the story.

When surrounded by loved ones, it deepens the love.

A life as lived is enchantment.

Some occasions are wedding, anniversay, birthday, going away, memorial service.

I also have a one woman Peter Pan (running time 50 min) great for families.

I have successfully produced and presented the Folk Tales for Life Project in June of 2009. Bravo and thank you to all who participated. A deep felt thanks to NSN (National Storytelling Network) for choosing the Project to represent the Northeast Region in it's Year of the Regions. Without their grant it would not have been possible.

Thanks for participating in Tellabration! 2009

Your tale was a moving tribute to the Son, the Mother and their struggle for normalcy.
Thank you for sharing your original fairy tale with us..

The old Fort George in Castine, Maine

It all started years ago.my son and brother went to castine and fort George with our metal detectors to see if we could find some thing of interest. after scanning for a while we got a real strong reading so started to dig in that spot. we went real deep and finally found some iron straps and a wooden container, in side was some bones. We quickly covered them up and refilled the hole so no one would ever know that we had been digging there. While we were digging a couple from Mass. came by and…See More

Sharing the Fire

I am just back from our New England Storytelling regional conference "Sharing the Fire".  My storytelling fire is renewed, and I am eager to share new tales and new insights.I will be beginning to teach the Readers' Theatre II course for Downeast Senior College this coming Monday: yet another way to share life changing stories. In addition, I just got the acceptance of my proposal to reprise that course for Acadia Senior College this Fall. Too much laughter in one place can be addictive, I…See More

M.O.O.S.E. Presented Peaks Island Puppets (PIPs) in Solomon and Ashmedai on 1/14/2015 at the Portland Public Library. This show more than met my expectations as it was the 2nd production to be performed at the 2nd Wed of the month MOOSE gathering in the last two years..A well written biblical show with a modern Maine twist created by David Handwerker, Stephanie Eliot, Julie Goell and Avner Eisenberg.Superbly acted by David and Stephanie. The characters on a stick and the living two with lots of…See More
