Welcome to http://moosetellers.ning.com

Our membership includes a diverse group of storytellers and their listeners from all backgrounds and various genres of the tradtional oral art of storytelling. Folk, drama, fables, humor, horror, adult and children stories are shared by our members. We perform these tales as have many generations before us using the tools of voice and body movement. We do not read our stories to an audience. Occasionaly we will use notes among our peers to learn or hone a new tale. Reading is a different art form all to its own.
We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the Rines Auditorium at the Portland Public Library.
