Hope to see you at my course, 'Boosting Learning Standards with Storytelling' at Sharing the Fire Conference

Hi,

I'm off to Warwick, RI this weekend for the annual Sharing the Fire Northeast Storytelling Conference. I'd encourage anyone interested in Storytelling to try to take advantage of what this conference offers. There are at least 25 courses to select from, 2 terrific concerts and storytelling swaps. I've been teaching at this conference for 10 years now; everything from storytelling in classrooms to voice classes, accents in storytelling and coaching voice for storytellers using character… Continue

I have not read any prose thing of mine yet at MOOSE's Weds. nights at the NS, but I am a regular at Port Veritas's Tuesday night and a board member of PV. I'm not a slammer, however, so I wouldn't call what I do "performing" if that means a lot of actor-like drama. If that's what you put on, then I suppose I might not fit, but I have a story, in the vein of a Child's Christmas in Wales, about summer camp, takes about 10 mins to read (really, I don't mean 20), and is prose in a Dylan Thomas kind of way. I've never been able to read it in one piece. Is there room on Weds eve to read such a piece?
