Welcome to Moose

Great meeting you at STF 2011. Now we need to meet in our home state. Let me know when an event is happening in Hancock or penobscot counties.

Each month the members of Moose meet at various venues across the state of Maine.

We encourage you to drop by and print our list of Moose droppings to share with others.

In addtion to our monthly venues we support an annual Tellabration! In November, many seasonal and one time events and this year the 1st Western Maine Storytelling Festival hosted by the WMS guild in Farmington.

You can learn more on our facebook page and on this website.

We are looking forward to when you can drop by and see us. Please let us know if you are aware of any events by you or others that is not listed here.

Thanks

your volunteer web manager

We quickly covered them up and refilled the hole so no one would ever know that we had been digging there. While we were digging a couple from Mass. came by and…See More

I lived in the old Bert Stover farm house at the bottom of State St. which was a cross the 6th fairway of the Castine golf course. So when me and my brothers wanted to go to play with our friends which lived down Dyers lane and on Water street, we always used the short cut which went right by the West corner of…See More

The Sound of Iron Wheels on the Dirt RoadThis story was told to me by my brother. and he swears it is the truth. Many years ago when we where in our teens our older brother had to take just about any job there was and being just married and with a small child places in Castine were hard to find to rent. So there was a old house called The Old Fox Farm way down in a field at the point of Wadsworth Cove. The only way anyone could get to it was going through the cemetery and on a very rough dirt…See More
