As story teller Learnin’ Vernon, he has entertained audiences from Presque Isle, Maine to Hollywood California*
He has been an Air Force medic, cook, custodian, mental health worker, electrician, volunteer firefighter, E.M.T. and a lifetime member of Girl Scouts. It is through all of these memories that Vernon draws for his tales. He has learned that every day a new journey begins and a new experience unfolds.

That is why he shall always remain
a Learnin’ Vernon!

*Hollywood!
Ok truth is I was there for a taping of the Pyramid show and they asked for talent between takes as an audience warm up. I told "Prinderella" to the delight of the studio audience which included its host. No money exchanged hands but my wife personally met Donnie Osmond and shook his hand and that was priceless.

Thanks for your comment Vernon. And thanks for the information about a storyteller for preschool-age children as well as your willingness to travel to Farmington to help me convince my preservice teachers that storytelling belongs in the classroom. See you next month and I'll try to smile for your camera so the picture is better than the one on my new Maine driver's license! Phyllis Blackstone

Hi Vernon,

Thanks. I put a great deal into that story. And I checked the Seanachie Nights info; looks good to me. My friends, Drew and Diana, were sorry to have just missed Willey's story (parking is a dog!). They said they always enjoy seeing you perform. It was a fun opener.
Cheers,
Lynne
