Fall is busy in LOONS (Lovers Of Old & New Stories) country. LOONS Stephen Berger, Jude Lamb and Hope Lewis began the season with a refreshing and inspiring visit with Jackson Gillman. What fun! * All three LOONS are working on a storytelling service for the Ellsworth UU Congregation in November. Also on tap for the season: Hope will be presenting a program for fourth-graders at Connors-Emerson School in Bar Harbor, Jude and Hope will be telling at the Ellsworth Library in October. Discussion continues with Acadia National Park representatives to plan a "Storytelling in the Park" series for next season. Also, starting Sept 14th Hope begins teaching the Acadia Senior College course "Jewish Folklore and Story". In October, Hope offers a reprise of her "Storytelling" course for the Down East Senior College. Other upcoming dates include an evening "Story Walk" for Southwest Harbor Library. * We have a special treat for our LOONS meeting in October, Portland area teller Bill Hinderer will be joining us for our meeting on the 7th! * Who knows what we will all hatch next!
